CLO Virtual Fashion opens its newest office in Dhaka to support Bangladesh’s robust apparel manufacturing sector
Local presence aims to accelerate 3D adoption, empower native talent, and celebrate the region’s growing global influence

The world’s second-largest garment exporter joins CLO’s growing network of innovation hubs, as the company strengthens its presence across Asia’s production heartlands.
CLO Virtual Fashion, the global leader in 3D garment design technology, has officially opened its newest office in Dhaka. This move places CLO’s cutting-edge tools and user-first mission at the center of Bangladesh’s thriving apparel industry where craftsmanship and global ambition already shape the way fashion is made. CLO’s local presence will allow it to work more closely with manufacturers, sourcing teams and design professionals to drive digital transformation at the very source of production.
For CEO Simon Kim, this expansion has been a long-held priority: “Bangladesh is one of the most important players in the global fashion industry. Opening this office is our way of showing respect for that. We’re here to build deep, lasting partnerships and create opportunities with the people who know the industry best.”
At the core of this launch is a deep belief that each region’s talent should be empowered and nurtured to play an active role in the global innovation movement. Local cultural understanding, language, and skill development allow us to build more meaningful partnerships, deliver better support, and unlock long-term potential from within.
Neelam Chandwani, VP, Business Development (South Asia/Middle East) of CLO Virtual Fashion states, “We’ve been working in Bangladesh for nearly a decade, with local team members supporting our clients on the ground. Establishing an office here strengthens our ability to respond faster, offer deeper support, and tap into the rich local expertise - helping both us and the region grow together.”
From prototyping garments virtually to reducing waste from physical sampling, CLO’s tools are already being adopted by leading manufacturers like Bestseller, Padma Textiles, Ananta Apparels, Asmara Apparels and GMS, to name a few. The Bangladesh team is working hand-in-hand with these partners to make the design-to-production journey faster, smarter, and more sustainable.
CLO’s commitment to long-term client success has made it a trusted partner to organizations across the fashion ecosystem. In Bangladesh, the team is working closely with academic institutions like BUFT, BUTEX ensuring that the next generation of Bangladeshi creators are not just keeping up with the future, but helping define it.
With this launch, CLO now operates 15 offices globally, each tailored to meet the unique needs of regional markets and acting as a local hub to deliver personalized service, market-relevant insights and collaborative support.
