Q. What is difference CLO3D from Marvelous Designer?

CLO3D is Apparel Industry purpose 3D virtualization Tool and so only CLO3D supports 2D Pattern file load like Gerber, PAD, Lectra, Audaces, Julivi, Style CAD and Yuka and avatar size change, and the other minor features like stitch line.

Marvelous Designer is mainly for Animation, Game and Commercial and must compatible with other 3D tools including Maya, 3Ds Max, Maxon and others.

Q. Which OS does CLO 3D support?

A. Window, Mac and Linux (Redhat 6, Redhat 5, Fedora14(May be compatible with OpenSUSE, Mandrake, Redhat, CentOS, Scientific Linux), Ubuntu)

Q. Can I import 3D data of simulated garments into Max or Maya?

A. you can export cloth animation as Obj sequence, Maya cache and Point cache. You will be able to save cloth animation as Obj in every frame later.

Q. What types of file format can I import?

A. You can import Collada, Obj, Dxf and Bvh file format. So you can import contents created with other 3D modeling tools such as 3DS Max, Maya, Daz studio or Poser.

Q. What types of file format can I export?

A. You can export Obj, DXF, cloth animation (Obj sequence, Maya cache and point cache) file format. Exporting Collada will be available soon.

Q. I like to pinch and pull cloth of simulated garments.

A. Hold down “q” key in your keyboard and hold down left mouse button and drag mouse on the garments to the space. If you hold down “w” key, pin will be created in the spot where you released the left mouse button.

Q. You can not import file when you see the message, “This file was created in non-compatible version. Please contact to CLO Virtual Fashion for loading the file”

A. You get this message because you are not license user, so please purchase a license.

Q. I can not import file with the error message “ Failed to load because this file was created by higher version.”

A. If you see this error message, upgrade to the latest version then you can load file.

Q. There is time lag and delay on displaying

A. Turn off the “show shadow” in the popup menu on 3D window, or lower the antialiasing level in the graphic option. Shadow and shader should be off when you lower the value.

Q. I would like to re-arrange pattern after the garments are simulated.

A. Click on the “Rearrange all patterns” next to the “Syn” button to re-arrange patterns around the avatar just before draping.

Q. When I have multi- layered garments, simulation is unstable.

A. Right Click on your mouse on 3D window and turn on the “simulation property” then you can see the “Number of simulation” menu in the property window. Increase the “Number of simulation” more than 3.
The simulation will be stable but the speed of simulation will be decreased.

Q. I get error massage “ OpenGL ~”

A. This error usually indicates a problem with your graphic card. You can usually solve this problem with updating your graphic card driver to the latest version. If you still get the same error, send us your graphic card specification at support@clo.co.kr then our tech team will be happy to help you with.

Q. When I run Marvelous designer2, Computer shuts down with error message “ application program configuration is incorrect”

A. In this case, you need to install Net Framwork, Please refer to user manual installation guide in the installation guide section.
