[News]CLO Technology Used in the Hobbit
We are thrilled that one of our software, Marvelous Designer 2, has been successfully used in the Peter Jackson’s new movie, The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey. The production company, Weta Digital adopted the new technology called “High Frame Rate (HFR) projection” that ran 48 frames per second, doubling the frame rate of traditional movies. At this point, Marvelous Designer 2 was successfully used in their pipeline contributing in the creation of a variety of realistic and “true-to-life” clothing in the movie characters. We would like to thank Weta Digital for using our technology to create such a masterpiece and we believe that this is another significant step towards a new digital clothing era as we plan not just to stay in the fashion industry industry but to expand into the CG industry with our technology. The online magazine, Fxguide shows their workflow in detail. For those who are curious, click this link.http://www.fxguide.com/featured/the-hobbit-weta/
